Tim Tonges Joins BEAR Data Solutions as President and COO
San Francisco, Calif. (September 30, 2010 ) — BEAR Data Solutions, Inc. is pleased to announce that Timothy E. Tonges has joined its executive staff as President and Chief Operating Officer. Don James continues as Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Tonges brings a deep understanding about creating value and driving organizational change to build BEAR Data into an invaluable partner resource to both the customer and vendor community. Mr. Tonges was formerly president and chief operating officer at FusionStorm, overseeing CAGR of over 65 percent during his tenure. His experience and prior success in identifying and integrating merger-and-acquisition opportunities will continue to bolster the impressive growth of BEAR Data Solutions.
Mr. Tonges was formerly president of North American sales and marketing at Bell Microproducts, a $2.3B international storage-centric distributor. For 13 years, Mr. Tonges held various positions at Pomeroy IT Solutions, including executive vice president of sales and operations. During his tenure there, he restructured the company and expanded its service offerings, reaching revenues over $900M.
Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Tonges was founder and CEO of DigiCad, Inc. He has held positions on multiple industry advisory councils such as VMware, Cisco, Sun, and HP. Mr. Tonges is a sought-after speaker for industry events.
