802.11n for your Wireless Network

There are multiple advantages for moving your WLANs to the theoretical maximum data rate of 300Mbs, supported by the new IEEE 802.11n standard, but is speed alone reason to upgrade?
The 802.11n draft 2.0 standard takes a different approach to over-the-air modulation techniques by integrating new technologies including MIMO and channel bonding. MIMO uses multiple antennas to simultaneously transmit three streams of data and receive two. This is what provides the increase in data transfer time and also an increase in distance over which data can be transmitted. Channel Bonding uses two separate non-overlapping channels at the same time which also increases the speed of the WLAN access.
